Upcoming Court Dockets Highlight Busy Summer for Huntsville Courts

According to court schedules published by the City of Huntsville and Walker County, multiple court sessions are scheduled throughout the month, including preliminary hearings, criminal motions dockets, attorney dockets, and criminal jury proceedings.

The Huntsville Municipal Court has several hearing dates scheduled in July. Preliminary hearings are slated for July 22, while attorney dockets and pretrial matters are scheduled for July 23. Additional hearings involving cash bonds, pretrial conferences, show-cause hearings, and preliminary matters are expected later in the month.

Meanwhile, Walker County's district courts are expected to handle a variety of criminal cases ranging from felony offenses to motions and special prosecution matters. Court records show criminal motions dockets and special prosecution proceedings are scheduled during July, with criminal jury trials expected before the end of the month.

While individual cases often change due to plea agreements, continuances, or other legal developments, court officials anticipate a steady flow of criminal matters moving through the judicial system during the summer months. Cases involving narcotics offenses, property crimes, assaults, and other felony allegations are routinely addressed through Walker County's district courts.
